As a Graduate of Indiana University with a B.S. in Business Administration, Keith Banasiak has more than 30 years of management experience in the waste industry. In 1987, he started in the non-ferrous scrap processing and reclamation industry. Primarily responsible for processing operations, he managed fleet operations, disposal of residual special waste and the facility environmental requirements of state and local governments.
In 2001, he relocated to Ft. Myers as Regional Manager for a private solid waste and disposal hauling company. He was responsible for managing two facilities that covered four counties in South Florida. These municipal contracts consisted of 85,000 residential units and 7500 commercial accounts.
As Regional Vice President of Waste Pro’s West Coast Region, Banasiak has led one of the company’s largest regions with more than 275,000 residential customers and more than 10,000 commercial customers across Florida’s West Coast from Levy County to Collier County.
In 2019, Banasiak was promoted to Senior Vice President.
In addition to his Waste Pro duties, Banasiak is an active community volunteer and currently serves as the Chairman Emeritus of both Keep Lee County Beautiful and Keep Manatee Beautiful. He also serves as Finance Chairman for the Community Cooperative and a board member for The Foundation for Lee County Public Schools.
