Maria Moræus Hanssen

Maria Moræus Hanssen is the current Chair of Wastefront. Maria has also served as the Chair of the Board of Trustees for Nasjonalmuseet for kunst, arkitektur og design, and as a Non Executive Director for Schlumberger and Scatec Solar. Maria has a long history of working in the oil and gas industry, starting their career as a Project Manager for Entreprise Project at Engie. Maria then went on to become the CEO of Norwegian E&P affiliate GDF Suez E&P Norge, before taking on the role of Investment Director at Aker ASA.

Maria Moræus Hanssen has a Master's degree in Petroleum Economics and Management from IFP School - Ecole Nationale Supérieure du Pétrole et des Moteurs, a Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering from Norges teknisk-naturvitenskapelige universitet / Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), and various certificates from Harvard Business School, including a Corporate Director Certificate.
