Richard Barrett

Richard Barrett is an experienced communications professional with a robust background in corporate affairs and government relations. Currently serving as the Head of Corporate Affairs at Water Corporation since January 2020, Richard previously held the position of Director of Corporate & Government Affairs at Pilbara Ports from October 2014 to December 2019, where leadership was provided in strategic communications and stakeholder engagement. Prior roles include Director of the Office of the Director General at the Department of Transport, Western Australia, from July 2010 to October 2014, and Manager of Corporate Communications at the Public Transport Authority from 2006 to October 2010, overseeing significant infrastructure projects. Richard's career also includes positions at Central Office of Information, the Department of Justice, and Ward Holt Corporate Communications.
