Seda Arzumanyan

Seda Arzumanyan has a diverse work experience in the field of development and fundraising. Seda is currently serving as the Chief Development Officer at Water for Good, where they lead the development strategy and oversees the fundraising programs. Prior to this role, they were the Director of Development at the same organization, successfully raising $4.5 million annually through various fundraising programs.

Seda has also worked as a Foundation - Development/Fundraising Manager at Ascension, where they formulated effective fundraising strategies and organized community events to cultivate donor relationships. Additionally, they have experience as a Development Specialist (graduate assistantship) at Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis, where they implemented successful annual and planned giving strategies.

Earlier in their career, Seda worked as a Fundraising Consultant at Habitat for Humanity Armenia, where they developed compelling grant proposals and cultivated strong partnerships with national and international organizations. Seda also served as a Resource Development Manager at Habitat for Humanity Armenia, contributing to the organization's comprehensive four-year strategy and managing various fundraising tools. Seda started their career as a GV Coordinator at Habitat for Humanity Armenia.

Furthermore, Seda has worked as an Expert at the European Commission for a brief period.

Seda Arzumanyan obtained their Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Yerevan State University from 1998 to 2002. Seda then pursued a Master's degree in Social Work from the same university from 2002 to 2004. Later, they went on to earn a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Philanthropic Studies from Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis, attending from 2016 to 2018.

In addition to their formal education, Seda Arzumanyan also pursued various certifications related to fundraising. Seda obtained the Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) certification from CFRE International in March 2021. In September 2016, they obtained a Certificate in Fundraising Management from The Fund Raising School. Prior to that, they completed a certification in Professional Fundraising from Boston University in May 2014.
