Joe Pera

Joe Pera is a Water Quality Scientist at WaterNSW, a position held since January 2015, following a prior role as a Scientist at Sydney Catchment Authority from August 2011 to December 2015. Joe has extensive experience in the environmental sector, having worked as an Environmental Scientist at Sydney Water from April 1994 to August 2011, and earlier as an Industrial Engineer, Mechanical Draftsman, and Toolmaker at Efco Manufacturing Company Pty. Ltd from January 1983 to April 1994. Educationally, Joe is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Freshwater Ecology at the University of Technology Sydney, expected to be completed in 2024, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Marine Sciences from the University of Sydney (1989-1993). Joe's training also includes studies at TAFE NSW and courses from ANDSAM Training and Mcmillan Training.
