Buvaneswari Duraisamy has extensive work experience in the financial services sector, particularly in microfinance and impact investing. Buvaneswari currently holds the role of Director of Financial Institutions Services at Water.org, where they are responsible for establishing the organization as a credible social enterprise and leading its strategic growth globally. Buvaneswari also serves as Co-Chairman of the Global DEI Committee and Chairman of the POSH Internal Committee India. Prior to their current role, Buvaneswari worked as a Senior Manager in Microlending Partnerships and Program Manager at Water.org. Before joining Water.org, they worked as a Microfinance Product Manager at Development Innovations Group (DIG) and as a Branch Manager at Equitas Micro Finance India Pvt Ltd. Buvaneswari started their career as a Project Executive at DHAN Foundation.
