Melanie Mendrys has an extensive work experience spanning over several companies and roles. melanie started their career in 1997 as an Account Executive & Media Planner at Bernstein-Rein Advertising. In 2000, they joined Sprint and held various positions including Brand Manager and Group Manager, Marketing Communications. At Sprint, they led teams, managed budgets, and developed marketing and communication programs. In 2004, they moved to American Century Investments where they served as the Director, Brand Strategy & Integration. In this role, they led a team and was responsible for brand positioning, strategy, and identity. melanie also played a key role in expanding the company into European Union and Asia-Pacific markets. In 2009, they joined 360 Architecture as the Marketing Director before moving to UMB Bank in 2011 as the Vice President, Commercial Marketing. Currently, they are the Director, Brand + Marketing at Water.org, a position they have held since 2013.
Melanie Mendrys completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication at DePauw University, where they studied from 1992 to 1996. Following that, they pursued their Masters of Science degree in Integrated Marketing Communications at The University of Kansas from 2003 to 2005.
