Rafael Castillo

Rafael Castillo is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in impact assessment, innovation, and economic analysis. Currently serving as a Senior Impact Specialist - Insights at Water.org since April 2023, Rafael previously held various roles including Senior Consultant at the Inter-American Development Bank, where Rafael applied advanced methodologies for projects focused on business innovation and women's participation in technology. Rafael's leadership as Deputy Director at Innóvate Perú involved overseeing significant funding for innovation initiatives, while earlier roles at Georgia Tech and the Inter-American Development Bank contributed to a strong foundation in public policy and research on inclusive innovation. Rafael holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and advanced degrees in Public Policy from Georgia Institute of Technology, where Rafael is also a PhD candidate.
