Scott Atkin

Scott Atkin is an accomplished executive who has led product development and operations for large corporations and entrepreneurial businesses in the life sciences and diagnostics industries. During an extensive career with Beckman Coulter, Inc., he oversaw multiple business units and led engineering R&D, which supported all of the company’s business units and product lines. Following Danaher Corporation’s acquisition of Beckman, Scott was named president of the life sciences' operating company. Prior to joining Beckman, Scott was president of SAGIAN, Inc., a start-up company providing services to research markets in the life sciences and chemical industries. Scott is currently managing partner of SAGIAN Equity, a private investment firm that focuses on emerging businesses. He also is a founder of IOI Partners, which works with companies to improve the effectiveness of their product realization and portfolio management processes. Scott began his career as a senior research chemist with The Dow Chemical Company. He received bachelor’s degrees in chemistry and computer science from Butler University.
