Senior Partnerships Manager at WaterAid

Stefano Amato has a diverse range of work experience. Stefano is currently working as a Partnerships Manager at WaterAid since December 2022. Before that, they served as the Senior Grants Manager at the Institute for Strategic Dialogue (ISD) from November 2021 to November 2022. From May 2020 to August 2021, they worked as a Senior Programme Manager at Oxford Policy Management. Prior to that, Stefano worked as a Project Performance Advisor at the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) from January 2019 to May 2020.

From January 2017 to January 2019, they held the role of Programme Funding and Compliance Manager at REDR UK, where they developed and managed systems for funding and partnership opportunities. Stefano also led the identification of major funding relationships and managed the proposal development phase for grants and other opportunities.

Stefano's previous experience includes working as a Regional Portfolio Officer for Save the Children UK in Syria from February 2016 to January 2017, where they managed multi-million grants and established coordination tools for the organization's work in Syria. Stefano also served as the Deputy Programme Manager at The RET from October 2013 to August 2015, where they led the implementation of various programs targeting Syrian refugees and vulnerable Lebanese populations.

Earlier in their career, Stefano worked as an Assistant to the Head of Office/Delegation at the EU Delegation to the Republic of South Sudan from December 2009 to April 2012. Stefano played a crucial role in setting up the delegation office and provided support for EU delegates and programs in South Sudan. Stefano also worked as an HR Assistant at the IHCP Management Support Unit in the European Commission's Joint Research Centre from August 2008 to August 2009.

Stefano's work experience began with an internship at EntrePueblos in October to December 2006.

Stefano Amato completed their education with a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Violence, Conflict and Development from SOAS University of London in the year 2013. Prior to that, they obtained a Laurea in Political Sciences - International Curriculum from Università di Catania, which they completed in 2007.
