Cherrie Lamb. Mpa

Cherrie Lamb, MPA, has extensive experience in human resources, currently serving as the Assistant Director of Human Resources for the City of Waterbury since August 2005, where responsibilities include supervising staff, recruitment, compensation, and personnel policy development. Previously, Cherrie held positions ranging from Provisional Human Resources Generalist to Human Resources Assistant, focusing on application reviews and examination processes. Prior to Cherrie's role in public service, Cherrie was the Director of Human Resources at Courtyard by Marriott, notably reducing the hotel's unemployment rate significantly. Academically, Cherrie holds a Master's Degree in Public Administration from Post University and a Bachelor's Degree in Organizational and Corporate Studies from the University of Connecticut, along with an Associate’s Degree in Travel and Tourism from Humber College. Currently enrolled in an Interpreter Training Program at Northwestern Connecticut Community College, Cherrie continues to enhance professional competencies.
