Emma McBride

Emma McBride is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in governance and intellectual property law. Currently serving as the Head of Legal and Governance and Company Secretary at Watercare Services Limited since July 2017, Emma has held various senior roles in the organization, including Co-Head of Legal and Governance and Head of Governance. Prior to this, Emma worked at POTTER IP LIMITED as an Intellectual Property Lawyer, Trade Mark and Patent Attorney, where the focus was on making intellectual property accessible and understandable. Emma's earlier career included positions as Senior Associate and Associate at A J Park and as an Associate at Simpson Grierson. Emma holds a dual degree in Law and Business (Marketing) from Queensland University of Technology and qualified as a New Zealand Patent Attorney in 2010. Additionally, Emma pursued governance education in 2017 through Governance New Zealand.
