Jim Prescott

Jim Prescott is an accomplished professional with over 30 years of experience in public accounting and leadership roles across various organizations. Currently serving as the Chair of the Board of Directors for WaterFire Providence since January 2011, Prescott has previously held significant positions, including Partner at Marcum LLP from January 2014 to April 2021 and Partner/Shareholder at Braver PC from April 2007 to December 2013. Prescott also contributed to low-income and elderly housing initiatives as Chairperson of the Board of Directors for Statewide Affordable Housing, Inc., from 1998 to 2012, and demonstrated commitment to literacy as President of Rhode Island Literacy Volunteers from 2001 to 2006. Prescott co-founded Prescott Chatellier and served as a Partner at Prescott Chatellier Fontaine & Wilkinson, LLP, from 1981 to 2006. Educational background includes a BA in History from Saint Michael's College, attained from 1970 to 1973.
