Waterleau
Sander Cauwenberghs is an operator in water technology at Waterleau since September 2019, focusing on the revamp of the wastewater treatment plant at Lamb Weston Meijer Kruiningen. Prior to this role, Sander served as an R&D engineer and production scientist at Integrated DNA Technologies from June 2018 to September 2019, specializing in the GMP department. Sander began their career with an internship at Waterleau in early 2018, centering on anaerobic treatment of industrial wastewaters, which formed the basis of a thesis. Additional experience includes a holiday job at DOCKX GROUP and an internship at Havells Sylvania Lighting Belgium, where Sander worked on projects related to metal halide mixtures in ceramic gas discharge lamps. Sander holds a bachelor's degree in chemistry from UC Leuven-Limburg, obtained in 2018.
