Cynthia Welton

Cynthia Welton currently serves as the Director of Quality, Patient Safety, and Experience at Waterloo Regional Health Network since April 2025, following leadership roles in similar capacities at St. Mary's General Hospital and Grand River Hospital. Cynthia's extensive experience also includes various positions at Trillium Health Partners, where roles ranged from Interim Manager to Quality and Patient Safety Consultant, and an academic role as an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Toronto. Earlier in Cynthia's career, roles in respiratory therapy were held at Halton Healthcare Services, Credit Valley Hospital, and Hamilton Health Sciences. Cynthia holds a Master’s Degree in Quality Improvement and Patient Safety from the University of Toronto, a Diploma in Respiratory Therapy from The Michener Institute, and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from McMaster University.
