Giancarlo Saraiva

Giancarlo Saraiva, M.Sc, currently serves as a Senior Water Advisor at Waterplan (YC S21) since February 2023. Prior to this role, Giancarlo worked at Danone for nearly a decade, managing over 40 sources of natural mineral water and conducting evaluations for potential acquisitions across Brazil. Giancarlo's experience also includes positions at SLB as a Geologist and Data Engineer, where responsibilities encompassed monitoring offshore drilling operations, and at EPA Engenharia de Proteção Ambiental Ltda, specializing in hydrogeological assessments and environmental geology. Earlier career experiences featured a trainee program in geology focused on mineral exploration and a strong educational background with a Master's in Geoscience and Environment from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho, an MBA in Management of Contaminated Areas from Centro Universitário Senac, and a Bachelor's in Geology from Universidade Estadual de Campinas.
