Teresa Llusa has worked in a variety of roles in the sustainability and environmental sector. Teresa began their career in 2008 as Technical Team Manager for the Green Tourism Business Scheme, where they were a member of the management team and was involved in the strategic running of the business. Teresa developed the GTBS standards, technical guidance documents, tools and led projects and environmental audits. In 2013, they joined Resource Efficient Scotland / The Wise Group as a Resource Efficient Scotland Implementation Advisor, where they managed and developed the Wise Group's Zero Waste team, and project managed the National Re-use Phoneline (NRPL) and Zero Waste Community Advocate & Volunteer Programme (VCAP). Teresa was also responsible for reporting and liaising with funders. In 2018, Teresa joined Fundacion INVAP as Coordinación de actividades de capacitación - Proyecto Bioenergía Andina and Escuela Técnica Nehuén Peumán as Profesora de Hábitat y Medio Ambiente. Teresa also worked as a Consultant for Consultora en sustentabilidad, where they managed projects for small, medium and large organisations in resource management (energy, water, circular economy) with a focus on nature based solutions. Most recently, in 2022, they joined Waterplan (YC S21) as a Partnerships Specialist.
Teresa Llusa has a diverse educational background. In 2004, they began their studies at Universidad Blas Pascal, where they earned their degree in Environmental Management in 2008. In 2018, they completed a course in Energy Labeling of Homes at IEDS/CNEA, and was certified as an Energy Labeler of Homes. In 2019, they completed a Training in Energy Auditing at INTI and Universidad del Comahue, and was certified as an Energy Auditor. Most recently, in 2020, they completed a Formation of Technicians Hotels Plus Green - coach and auditors at Formación de técnicos Hoteles más Verdes, and was certified as a coach and auditor.
