Scarlet Ferrinho

Scarlet Ferrinho currently serves as an OMICS Research Scientist (KTP Associate) at both the University of Surrey and Waters Corporation, focusing on the application and validation of a new OMICS workflow to enhance the understanding of disease processes in prostate cancer. Previous experiences include a PhD research project at the University of St Andrews, exploring cyanobacterial natural products, as well as roles in COVID-19 antigen analysis and environmental research on microplastics. Scarlet has a diverse background that includes internships in pharmacy, compliance, and animal care, alongside part-time work in the hospitality sector. Educational qualifications encompass a Doctor of Philosophy in Natural Products, a Postgraduate Certificate in Researcher Professional Development, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Biomolecular Science.
