Evan Morgan

Evan Morgan has a diverse range of work experience. Evan currently works at Watershed as a Carbon Data Analyst, starting in February 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Mastercard as a Data Engineer from August 2019 to February 2022.

Before their role at Mastercard, Evan worked as a Data Science Intern at FreshAir Sensor in the summer of 2018. During this internship, they built a machine learning model in Python to identify smoking events in the company's sensor data. Evan successfully trained the model using SQL and Python, and achieved an 85% accuracy in identifying smoking events.

In 2017, Evan worked as the Sports and Arts Editor at The Dartmouth, Inc., where they co-directed a team of 15 writers covering Dartmouth's varsity teams and arts scene. Evan was responsible for the entire lifecycle of over 200 stories, from idea generation to refinement and layout.

During their time at Dartmouth College, Evan had multiple roles. As an Undergraduate Student Researcher at The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy & Clinical Practice, they studied the relationship between opioid prescribing and mortality. Through multivariate regression, they discovered that a state's opioid mortality rate increases as more opioids are prescribed.

Additionally, at Dartmouth College, Evan worked as a James O. Freedman Presidential Scholar, conducting research on misinformation, democracy, and legislator behavior alongside Carnegie Fellow Brendan Nyhan. Evan also served as an Undergraduate Advisor (RA) from September 2016 to November 2017.

Before attending Dartmouth College, Evan had a fundraising internship at the CEDESOL Foundation in the summer of 2016.
