Krishna Rao

Krishna Rao has a diverse work experience that spans several industries. Krishna started their career in 2014 as a Wireline Field Engineer at Schlumberger, where they worked on projects in North-East India. During their time there, Krishna designed, executed, and delivered various service projects under reservoir characterization and production domains. In 2017, they took on a summer internship at Valor Water Analytics, Inc, where they developed a storm water rate simulator for New York City. Krishna also worked as an AI Resident at X, the moonshot factory in 2021, before transitioning to their current role as a Data Scientist at Watershed, where they have been since 2022.

Krishna Rao has a strong educational background with a focus on Earth System Science and Civil Engineering. Krishna recently completed their Ph.D. in Earth System Science from Stanford University, where they were enrolled from 2018 to 2022. Prior to their Ph.D., Krishna obtained a Master's Degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Stanford University from 2016 to 2017. Krishna began their academic journey at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, where they pursued their Bachelor of Technology with Honours in Civil Engineering from 2010 to 2014.
