Rhodri Thomas Bsc McIob

Rhodri Thomas BSc (hons) MCIOB has a diverse and extensive work experience in the construction industry. Rhodri is currently the Commercial Director at Watkin Jones Group since March 2022. Prior to this role, they served as the Commercial Manager from February 2019 to February 2022. Between March 2016 and January 2019, Rhodri was a Senior Quantity Surveyor at the company, where they contributed to various successful projects, including a 477 bed 26-storey student accommodation tower in Cardiff.

Before joining Watkin Jones Group, Rhodri worked at Gravan Construction Ltd as a Senior Quantity Surveyor from September 2014 to February 2016. During their tenure, they took charge of managing the commercial aspects of projects across multiple sectors and provided technical support on contract matters.

From August 2007 to August 2014, Rhodri worked at Castleoak Care Partnerships Ltd as a Quantity Surveyor. Rhodri worked as the principal surveyor in a project team, managing post-contract commercial activities for multiple care developments. Rhodri gained proficiency in construction commercial software systems and document management systems during this time.

Rhodri's career began at Wernick Group Limited, where they served as an Estimator from May 2005 to June 2007. Rhodri was responsible for preparing quotations, specifications, and formal tender documentation for permanent modular buildings.

With their comprehensive experience and expertise in various roles across the construction industry, Rhodri Thomas is a valuable asset in any construction project.

Rhodri Thomas BSc (hons) MCIOB completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Business/Managerial Economics from Swansea University, where they studied from 2001 to 2004. Rhodri later received a GDQS qualification in Quantity Surveying from the University West of England, which they pursued from 2008 to 2011.
