Geannina Mejía Acevedo has extensive work experience in the real estate industry. Geannina started their career at Fabulous Diamonds in 1996, where they served as a Human Resources Director. In 1998, they joined Coldwell Banker Real Estate as a Broker Associate and Realtor. At Coldwell Banker, they also held positions such as Assistant Manager and Associate Development. In 2006, they moved to Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate and served as the Managing Broker until 2008. Geannina then joined ONE Sotheby's International Realty in 2013 as a Broker Associate, specializing in working with sellers located outside of Miami and out of the country. In addition to sales, they also handled leasing properties. In 2018, Geannina joined Watson Realty Corp. as the Vice President & Managing Broker for the Vero Beach and Port Saint Lucie offices, where they were responsible for recruiting, training, coaching, and developing successful Realtors. Geannina also briefly worked as the Director of Marketing and Sales at LUXCOM.

Geannina Mejía Acevedo holds a Bachelor in Business and Hotel Administration degree, with a focus on Business Administration and Marketing, from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra, which they completed between 1982 and 1986. Additionally, they obtained an Associate in Business and Hotel Administration degree from Cornell University during the same period, specializing in Business and Marketing. Geannina also earned an Associate of Arts and Sciences - AAS degree from Cornell University. Prior to their higher education, Geannina completed their Bachelor's in Science and Arts at Colegio Santo Domingo, majoring in Science and Languages.

In terms of certifications, Geannina obtained the Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager Designation (CRB) from the Real Estate Business Institute (REBI) in February 2020. Geannina is also a Certified Residential Specialist, as awarded by the Council of Residential Specialists.
