Hoang Viet Phuc N.

SOFC Development Engineer at Watt Fuel Cell

Hoang Viet Phuc N. has held various positions in the fuel cell development field since 2007. In 2018, they began working as a SOFC Development Engineer for Watt Fuel Cell Corp. Prior to this, they were a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory - PNNL from 2015-2018, where they provided assistance in performing research on multiple fuel cell development projects. From 2007-2015, Hoang Viet Phuc N. was a Visiting Scientist and Research Assistant at Korea Institute of Science and Technology, where they conducted an intensive study on topics related to fuel cell development projects such as the improvement of the stability of MCFC performance, reinforcement of matrices for long-term operation of MCFCs, development of ionic conductor for cathode, and ORR mechanism at cathode side. Hoang Viet Phuc also researched the development of anti-creep anode material for molten carbonate fuel cells, reduction of anode polarization of molten carbonate fuel cells, and effects of hydrogen sulfide to anode performance of molten carbonate fuel cells.

Hoang Viet Phuc N. completed a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemical Engineering at Kyung Hee University from 2007 to 2012. Hoang Viet Phuc also obtained a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Chemical Engineering from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology from 2005 to 2007. Hoang Viet Phuc'sundergraduate studies were also at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from 2000 to 2005.
