Dave also developed a method for researching market opportunities and symposia at which to promote K-12 and college digital literacy textbooks, designed sales videos using Powtoon, and built sell sheets to present to major clients.

Cross has a background in publishing, having completed a program at the G. Raymond Chang School of Continuing Education at Toronto Metropolitan University. Dave also holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master's degree in Dave'story from York University. In 2018, they received certification from BookNet Canada in "So You Think You Can Code" as a competitor.
