Kristin Looney currently serves as a High School English, Journalism, and Yearbook Teacher at Southeast Polk Community School District since April 2011 and has been a Substitute Teacher at Waukee Community Schools since February 2011, instructing across various grades and subjects. Kristin has extensive freelance writing experience, with publications including Diabetic Living and Envisage. Additional teaching experiences include roles as a Director/Coach with Skyhawks Sports Academy, an Assistant Instructor for Upward Bound, and a Fitness Instructor at The Little Gym. Kristin held editorial positions as a Senior Editor for Think Magazine at Drake University and completed internships at Meredith Corporation and Imagination Publishing. Kristin earned a Master of Arts in Teaching from Drake University and two Bachelor's degrees in Journalism and Mass Communication and English from the same institution.
