Charise Dawson

Charise Dawson is an experienced educator with a focus on adolescent programming and language arts. Currently serving as an Adolescent Program Teacher at Wauwatosa School District since August 2020, Charise previously contributed to the University School of Milwaukee as a Summer I.D.E.A.S. teacher, adapting lessons for distance learning between June 2017 and August 2020. Charise's teaching career includes roles as an English Language Arts teacher at Christ King Parish Catholic School, where a middle school curriculum was developed, and as an In-House Learning Specialist at the University School of Milwaukee, where individualized student service plans were created. Additional experience includes teaching Communication Arts at Hamilton High School and managing educational drama programs at KidStage. Charise holds a Master of Arts in Teaching Theatre K-12 and Secondary English from Cardinal Stritch University and a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts from the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
