Wave Hill
Rachel Raphaela Gugelberger is a Visual Arts Curator at Wave Hill since October 2022. Gugelberger has experience as an Editorial Fellow and Founding Editor of &Art at the Independent Media Institute, focusing on cultural work that intersects art, environmentalism, and social justice. Previously, Gugelberger served as a Guest Curator and Residency Program Director at Residency Unlimited Inc. and as Curator and Director of the NLE Curatorial Lab at No Longer Empty, which organizes site-responsive exhibitions in New York City. Gugelberger's career includes co-founding 1@111, a platform for focused art discussions, and serving as Co-director at Sara Meltzer Gallery, where notable exhibitions were curated. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in Curatorial Studies from Bard College and a degree in Women's Studies with a focus on Contemporary Art History from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
