Pochi Shum

Pochi Shum is an experienced professional in the biopharmaceutical industry, currently serving as Associate Director and Senior Scientist at CRISPR Therapeutics since March 2022, and as Senior Scientist at Wave Life Sciences since September 2021. Prior roles at Wave Life Sciences included Scientist II and Scientist from September 2016 to July 2021. Shum's background encompasses analytical development, including experience at Pharmalucence as Sr. Analytical Development Scientist and Analytical Development Scientist II, where responsibilities included method development and validation for regulatory compliance. Prior to this, Shum contributed to method development for bioanalytical samples at Cerulean Pharma, worked on nanoparticle formulation at Tempo Pharmaceuticals, and was involved in nanocell technology at MIT. Shum holds a Master’s degree in Chemistry from Purdue University.
