Lead Engineer at WAVE Systems

Chris Miller has a long and varied work experience. Chris began their career in 1996 as an AIX System Administrator at Lumber Yard Supply. In 1998, they moved to Microsoft, Inc. as a Software Development Engineer, where they created build related tools and fixed bugs in Windows SDK samples. In 2000, they took a position at OpenDesign, Inc. as a Software Development Engineer. In 2001, they became an Independent Consultant at Trailhead Interactive, where they worked as a desktop, web, and embedded developer. In 2004, they took a position as a Web Developer and Designer at Wendt Advertising, and also worked as a Computer Tech at Great Falls Public Schools. In 2018, they became the Vice President of Bozeman Makerspace, where they assisted with fundraising, membership, and operations, and also maintained tools and 3D printers. In 2019, they took a position as Lead Engineer at WAVE Drowning Detection Systems, directing development of an embedded Linux system packed with sensors and peripherals on a custom PCB.

Chris Miller attended Montana State University-Northern from 1997 to 1998, studying Computer Science.
