Dmytro Stekanov has a diverse work experience in the software engineering and quality assurance field. Dmytro started their career as a Software Tester at Transoftgroup, where they tested desktop applications and collaborated with development and QA teams. Dmytro then moved on to Astound Commerce as a QA Engineer and later a QA Automation Engineer, participating in e-commerce and internal projects. At SoftServe, they worked as a Test Automation Engineer, developing automated test cases. Dmytro then joined EPAM Systems as a Lead Software Engineer in Test, where they performed various roles, built QA/Test Automation processes, and implemented the CI/CD process. Dmytro also established Scrum processes and invented a new Scrum ceremony. Dmytro briefly served as the CTO of Black Octopus Software before transitioning to Tucows as a Software Engineer in Test. Currently, they hold the position of Principal Software Engineer in Test at Wavelo.
Dmytro Stekanov has a Master's Degree in Computer Science from the National Aviation University of Ukraine, which they obtained from 2012 to 2014. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the same university from 2007 to 2012. In addition, Dmytro has obtained a certification in Leadership and Goal Setting from Measure What Matters | OKR Resources in 2023.
