Matthew Kirby has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the technology industry. Matthew started their career as a Phone Agent at AnswerConnect in 2007. In the same year, they joined Apple as a Genius, where they repaired Apple computers and iOS devices and provided customer support.

In 2012, Matthew transitioned to Puppet and held multiple positions over the years. Matthew began as a Desktop Support Technician, where they established the Desktop Support team and implemented standards and practices. Matthew then became a Technical Operations Engineer, managing enterprise storage, virtualization, and backups. Matthew later served as a Senior Software Engineer in different capacities, including Quality Engineering, Development Infrastructure & Operations, and SaaS Platform. Matthew led various initiatives, such as improving CI reliability, managing container orchestration environments, and developing cloud-native PaaS solutions.

In 2023, Matthew joined Wavelynx as a Senior Development Operations engineer, where they currently work, utilizing their expertise in DevOps.

Matthew Kirby attended Full Sail University from 2005 to 2006, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Entertainment Business and an Associate of Science degree in Recording Arts Technology/Technician. In 2011, they attended Crywolf, where they studied Mac OS X Server, but no degree was obtained. Matthew also holds the Puppet Professional 2015 Certification from Puppet, Inc.
