Mac Hong

Mac Hong is the VP of Finance at Wavemaker Partners. Mac has over 10 years of experience in the financial industry, working in various positions such as Fund Accountant and Financial Director.

Mac Hong started their career as a Fund Accountant at State Street Bank in April 2011. In this role, they were responsible for managing the financial reporting and management reporting function for various entities in accordance to IFRS and US GAAP. Mac also hosted weekly APAC Operations Meetings and Global Finance Meetings with the CFO.

In October 2018, Mac Hong became the Financial Director at Olympus Capital Holdings Asia. In this role, they were responsible for advising and supporting the investment team on investment and divestment decisions. Mac was also responsible for new fund set-ups, which included liaising with co-investors on funding, FX computation, expenses funding, and Know-Your Customer and Client on-boarding.

In June 2021, Mac Hong joined Wavemaker Partners as the VP of Finance. In this role, they are responsible for leading the finance team and overseeing all financial aspects of the business.

Mac Hong graduated with a Master of Science in Finance from University College Dublin. Mac is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and has a Diploma in Accounting from Tunku Abdul Rahman University College.
