Max Thoursie has a vast and diverse work experience spanning over many years. Max started their career in 1999 as a Server Administrator at Maximum Network, where they designed, built, and administered a small-scale ISP. Max worked with various technologies such as Debian GNU/Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP.
In 2007, Max joined BEA Systems as a Software Engineer for a brief period. Max then moved to Spotify, where they held the role of Software Engineer for seven years. During their time at Spotify, they contributed to developing the ad systems, music reporting platform, and introduced git as a version control system.
Following their tenure at Spotify, Max worked at Listora as a Software Engineer. Max was responsible for adding fields and features to the core API, implementing new functions to the frontend applications, and developing a new web application for handling signups. Max gained expertise in technologies such as Datomic, Cassandra, Clojure, and React.
In 2012, Max embarked on a spare-time project at HS Certifiering AB, where they served as a Software Contractor. Max handled administration and development of the customer web, integrating it with existing systems.
Afterward, Max joined Svenska Spel as a Software Development Manager, focusing on Big Data Analytics and the software development process. Max emphasized creating an autonomous environment for their team and collaborated with upper management to embrace trust and adaptability.
Max then joined Schibsted Media Group as a Tech Lead for their Products & Technology division. Max provided technical leadership and worked on various projects until 2018, when they transitioned to their role at Wavy AB. At Wavy, Max held the position of CTO and was responsible for developing a booking system for hair salons with a focus on usability and interaction design.
Currently, Max is working as a CTO at vloxq CPQ, where they contribute to integrating Plugs and Play services into various ecosystems. Their dedication to technology and design shines through their impressive work experience.
From 2000 to 2007, Max Thoursie attended the KTH Royal Institute of Technology, where they studied Computer Science.
