Steven Bass

Steven Bass has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Steven began their career as a Server at La Queue de Cheval Steakhouse & Cigar Bar in 2003, where they quickly progressed to become a Server and took on responsibilities such as training new employees and managing the wine and spirits inventory. In 2010, Steven transitioned to the education sector and worked as a Math Teacher at Lester B. Pearson School Board, where they developed and implemented mathematics curriculum for students of all skill levels and learning abilities, with a focus on special needs students. In 2011, they moved on to work as an Actuarial Analyst at Blue Cross Life Insurance Company of Canada. At Blue Cross, Steven gained experience in analyzing and assessing risk. In 2015, Steven joined Mercer as an Associate, taking on consulting roles in the Health and Wealth lines of business. Steven'sresponsibilities included managing client deliverables, negotiating with carriers to ensure competitive pricing and service, and providing excellent service and advice to clients. During their time at Mercer, Steven also contributed to various financial projects and played a role in investment consulting. In 2019, Steven joined WAX as a Strategic Advisor, supporting the company in creating a trusted and engaging mobile experience for collectors and making underwriting safer for insurers. As the Director of Insurance at WAX since 2021, Steven has been responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of a digital vault for collectibles and providing users with instant insurance quotes.

Steven Bass attended Concordia University from 2005 to 2009, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree. Steven'sfield of study was Actuarial Math and Finance. Prior to that, they attended John Abbott College from 2003 to 2005. However, the degree obtained during this period is not specified, but their field of study was Pure & Applied Sciences.
