Evan Doomes

Associate at Waxman Strategies

Prior to joining Waxman Strategies as an Associate on the Health team, Evan worked in the Bureau of Vital Records and Statistics at the Louisiana Department of Health where he has been serving as a Govern for America Fellow in the Bureau of Vital Records and Statistics. His service occurred at one of the most critical times in history for public health, and his role was essential as he led important initiatives on COVID mortality reporting for the state. As a student, he held several internships and jobs at the intersection of health and policy, including in the U.S. House Appropriations Committee and the Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. His areas of policy interest include LGBTQ+ health, reproductive health, and environmental justice.

Evan earned his Bachelors of Science in Public Health in 2020 from Tulane University in New Orleans, where he also studied Political Science and Spanish. Outside of health policy, Evan’s interests include testing new recipes in the kitchen, tennis, and pop music.
