David Knight

David Knight has over 25 years of experience in software engineering and related roles. David began their career in 1996 as a Software Engineer at Numerical Algorithms Group. In 1997, they became a Project Manager at Advanced Visual Systems Inc. In 2002, they moved to Quantum3D Inc as the European Sales Manager. In 2008, they joined Structure Vision Ltd as Managing Director and Director of Software Development, where they were responsible for product architecture, design and planning, as well as recruitment and reporting to the board. From 2013 to 2021, they served as Sales Manager at MachineWorks Ltd. Most recently, they have been working as Software Lead at Wayland Additive since 2021.

David Knight completed their BEng (Hons) in Engineering Science from the University of Liverpool between 1987 and 1990. David then pursued their PHd in Flow Visualisation, Computer Graphics, and CFD from the University of Oxford from 1990 to 1994. Afterward, they completed a Post-Doc in Fluid Dynamics, Visualisation, and Computer Graphics from The University of Auckland from 1994 to 1996.
