Amanda Stowers

Amanda Stowers is a Senior System Test Engineer at Waymo, with extensive experience in system testing, mechanical design, and engineering research. Prior to Waymo, Amanda held positions as a Senior R&D Engineer at Kittyhawk, a Mechanical Test Engineer at Zoox, and a Hardware Engineer at Dash Robotics, Inc., where responsibilities included defining and executing test cases, writing design verification plans, and conducting failure analysis. Amanda's academic background includes a PhD and MS in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University, complemented by a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. The foundational research experience includes designing biologically inspired vehicles and UAV systems, coupled with leadership roles in collegiate engineering organizations.
