Hongsheng Wang

Hongsheng Wang is a seasoned professional in applied machine learning and software engineering with extensive experience in leading teams and developing innovative solutions. Currently serving as a Tech lead and Manager at Waymo since December 2020, Hongsheng Wang focuses on multi-modal models to improve quality metrics for autonomous vehicle modules. Prior to Waymo, Hongsheng Wang worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Google, specializing in deep learning models for computer vision to enhance user experience across various applications. Experience also includes a role as a Software Engineer at Verily Life Sciences, developing algorithms for wearable devices, and a Research Associate at the Hospital for Special Surgery, where Hongsheng Wang contributed to orthopedic research and medical device development. Hongsheng Wang holds a PhD in Biomechanics from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a Master's degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
