Matt Salwasser, CCEP, is an accomplished regulatory compliance professional with extensive experience in the autonomous vehicle industry. Currently serving as Sr. Manager of Regulatory Compliance at Waymo since December 2016, Matt manages the regulatory compliance team's operations, ensuring adherence to complex regulations as Waymo evolves into a commercial enterprise. Previous roles at Waymo include Program Manager for Regulatory Compliance and Test Driver Training, where Matt developed and scaled training programs focused on safety. Prior to Waymo, Matt held positions at X, the moonshot factory, where involvement in the Google self-driving car project began, and at Google[x] as a Vehicle Operations Associate. An early career included roles at Apple, Inc. and The Creative Group, which contributed to a strong foundation in operations and management. Matt holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from San Diego State University and studied at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.
