Rutvik Acharya

Rutvik Acharya is a highly skilled mechanical engineer with extensive experience in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and thermal design. Currently serving as a Staff Mechanical Engineer and Aero/CFD Lead at Waymo since January 2020, Rutvik specializes in CFD simulations related to aerodynamics, aero-acoustics, sensor cleaning, and thermal design for self-driving systems. Prior to this role, Rutvik held positions at Siemens Digital Industries Software as a Senior Mechanical Engineer and at Tesla as a Battery Thermal Engineer. Additional experience includes a Thermal Design Engineer role at Apple Inc. and mechanical design/thermal engineering at Bharat Electronics. Rutvik holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Ramaiah Institute of Technology.
