Tekedra N. Mawakana

Before being appointed as Co-CEO of Waymo in April 2021, Tekedra N. Mawakana served as the Chief Operating Officer of Waymo where she was responsible for business strategy, operations, business development, global public policy, public affairs, marketing, communications, and corporate social responsibility.

Prior to Waymo, Tekedra led global teams at eBay, Yahoo, AOL and Startec Global Communications. She started her career at the law firm Steptoe & Johnson LLP and received her JD from Columbia Law School and her BA with honors from Trinity College.
