Katie Hutchison

Katie Hutchison is an experienced librarian specializing in community engagement and reference services. Currently serving as a Reference Librarian for Adult Services at Wayne County Public Library since April 2021, Katie is responsible for organizing outreach initiatives, creating engaging programs for adult and teen participants, and managing gallery spaces. Prior to this role, Katie worked as the Student Engagement & Archival Services Librarian at Walsh University from July 2010 to April 2021, where efforts focused on fostering lifelong learning through community programs and managing collection development. Katie also held the position of Assistant Reference Librarian at The University of Akron in 2009-2010, providing evening and weekend services while assisting with government documents. Educational credentials include a Master of Library & Information Science from Kent State University and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Walsh University.
