Allison Martin

Allison Martin serves as the Assistant Vice President of Planning, Assessment, & Innovation at Wayne State University since 2016, focusing on aligning strategic plans with university goals and implementing innovative technology solutions. Previously, Martin held the role of Vice President of Compliance & Regulatory at Karmanos Cancer Institute from 2007 to 2015, delivering transformational leadership and improving quality and compliance processes. Earlier roles include Director of Process Excellence, Quality, & Regulatory Affairs at Karmanos, and Director of Quality Improvement at Sinai-Grace Hospital, where efforts led to significant quality improvements and accolades, including the Governor’s Award of Excellence. Martin began a career in healthcare quality at St John Oakland Hospital, promoting regulatory compliance and efficiency in case management. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from Wayne State University and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial & Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan.
