James Brock

James Brock has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. James started their career as a Master Plumber at the City of Detroit - Water and Sewerage Department, where they supported maintenance functions for water supply systems and managed plumbing and piping systems in city-owned facilities. James then worked as a Plumber/Pipefitter at the Chrysler Technical Center, maintaining piping and mechanical systems and performing audits and certifications.

James later joined FCA Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, where they held various roles including Facilities and Engineering Manager, Process Improvement Manager, and World Class Manufacturing Project Lead. In these roles, they focused on continuous improvement and implementation of maintenance and improvement methodologies. James led teams, coordinated training, and developed life cycle costing models for capital projects. James also achieved Bronze level awards in corporate audits.

Recently, James worked at Aunt Millie's Bakeries as a Director of Maintenance Operations and Director of Environmental Health and Safety. James oversaw maintenance operations, including implementing safety protocols and coordinating environmental health initiatives.

Currently, James is the Senior Director of Facilities, Operations, and Maintenance at Wayne State University. Overall, they bring a wealth of experience in facilities management, maintenance operations, and process improvement to their current position.

James Brock obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Business Administration, Management and Operations from Baker College of Auburn Hills in 2000. In 1999, they also received a TPM Facilitators Certification in Total Productive Maintenance and Strategic Maintenance Management from Marshall Institute North Carolina. Additionally, they earned a Skilled Trades Certification in Energy Technologies/HVAC from Henry Ford College in 1987, and another Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Business and Manufacturing from Baker College in 2001. James Brock holds several certifications, including the 30-Hour Outreach for General Industry and the 10-Hour OSHA Outreach Training for General Industry from the US DEPARTMENT OF LABOR OSHA, as well as the Master Plumber certification from the State of Michigan and Total Productive Maintenance Coordinator certification from Marshall Institute.
