Richard Birdsey is an experienced professional specializing in sustainability and community service. Currently serving as the Innovation Lead at SD Strategies Australia since November 2019, Richard has also been a dedicated volunteer at The Wayside Chapel since July 2011, providing essential support to homeless individuals. Wayside Chapel

Wayside Chapel has provided unconditional love, care and support for people on and around the streets of Kings Cross since 1964. Today, under the banner of Love over Hate, Wayside runs two community services centre, outreach service, mental health program, two community cafes, an Aboriginal Cultural Centre, Women's Program and GP clinic; programs and support designed to ensure that the most marginalised members of our community have access to essential health, welfare, social and recreational services, as well as offering a place where people are welcome just to ‘be’.
