Giacomo Gallino is a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Wayve, focusing on AI for autonomous vehicles since March 2022. Previously, Gallino served as a Machine Learning Scientist at macro-eyes, where Deep Learning algorithms were implemented to count medical supplies via smartphone, utilizing AWS and TensorFlowLite for deployments. Gallino earned a PhD in Engineering from EPFL, where research on non-linear transitions of the Navier-Stokes equations resulted in publications in high-profile journals and presentations at international conferences. A visiting researcher at the University of Cambridge, Gallino also completed roles as an intern in data analysis and numerical analysis at Axpo Italia and EPFL, respectively. Education credentials include a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Università degli Studi di Genova.
