Matthew Loxton MKM, CKM has a diverse work experience in the field of knowledge management and healthcare improvement. Matthew has held various roles in different organizations, including serving as a Director and Strategic Advisor for Blue Faery: The Adrienne Wilson Liver Cancer Association, where they support the organization's mission of preventing, treating, and curing primary liver cancer. Matthew Loxton MKM, CKM has a diverse education history spanning several decades. Matthew began their educational journey at Capitol College from 1975 to 1977, where they completed their matriculation in natural sciences. Matthew then attended the School of Technical Training from 1978 to 1983, earning a DipAvn in avionics, electronics, sense & control systems.

Following this, Matthew enrolled at the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Philosophy & Logic, Information Science from 1983 to 2007. During this time, they also pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Knowledge Management at the University of Canberra from 2007 to 2009.

In 2009, Matthew undertook further management training at Mincom Management Training, where they obtained a Diploma of Management in the field of management. Matthew also completed a KM Learning Program in knowledge management at SkillSoft eLearning in the same year.

In 2011 and 2012, they pursued a certificate program in Knowledge Management & Organizational Learning from Element K (Jabil). Additionally, they attained a Certified Knowledge Manager (CKM) certification from KM Institute in 2013, specializing in knowledge management.

Continuing their education, Matthew pursued a Continuing Education program in Health Informatics at Coursera in 2013 to expand their knowledge in the field.
