Jennie Dodson

Jennie Dodson is an accomplished professional specializing in policy, advocacy, and sustainable development, currently serving as Senior Director for the World Business Council for Sustainable Development and Special Advisor for Global Optimism. With a strong background in climate initiatives, Jennie has held strategic advisory roles across various organizations, including Breakthrough Agenda and the High-Level Climate Champions. Previously, Jennie led the Mission Innovation initiative, successfully driving substantial increases in global clean energy investment, and played a key role in international energy innovation with the UK Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy during COP26. As co-founder and Executive Director of NESSE, Jennie fostered interdisciplinary solutions for sustainability challenges, while also providing strategic insights as an advisor to multiple funding bodies. Jennie holds a PhD in Green Chemistry from the University of York and a Master’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Nottingham.
