Melba Lara

Melba Lara has extensive experience in broadcasting and journalism, currently serving as the All Things Considered Host at Chicago Public Media - WBEZ 91.5 FM since 2003, where responsibilities include reporting and local news anchoring. Prior to this role, Melba held positions as Assistant News Director at Wisconsin Public Radio from 1999 to 2003 and as a Reporter/News Anchor at WBEZ 91.5 (formerly Chicago Public Radio) from 1992 to 1999. Melba began a career in radio as the Morning Edition Host at Michigan Radio from 1991 to 1992. Melba earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan between 1989 and 1992.
