Darryl C. Murphy is an experienced journalist currently serving as the host of a daily news podcast at WBUR, focusing on the Boston metro area since September 2021. Previously, Darryl worked as a staff reporter at PlanPhilly, where storytelling aimed to engage and diversify its audience. Before that, Darryl contributed as a part-time reporter and photographer for the Philadelphia Public School Notebook, highlighting issues faced by Black and brown students. Darryl also gained valuable experience as a radio reporter intern at WHYY, where coverage extended into underrepresented communities. Education includes a Bachelor of Arts in English from Temple University and an Associate of Arts and Sciences from Rowan College at Burlington County.
